In this work I portray five female characters from CCO’s new productions: Anaïs Nin, Jane Eyre, poor fabric worker from Sweat, character of Love Hurts based on story by Marquiz de Sade and Cassandra from a greek legend. Behind the camera stands Marta Łobacz.
„For more than three decades, The Center for Contemporary Opera has been devoted exclusively to the development and production of modern operas, seen in both in the United States and abroad. The CCO’s 2016 season taking place this October and November will showcase six works including two world premieres and two U.S. premieres to be staged in various venues throughout New York City. Each opera will feature a woman director, conductor, librettist, and/or composer. There has been quite a bit of press lately about women not getting their due in opera. This has never been the case at CCO but this season, we are publicly celebrating our commitment.”
